RAG Mura
The Centre for Health and Development Murska Sobota with our supporting partners reformed the Investment for Health and Development MURA Programme Council in the Regional Action Group for Investment for Health and Development MURA, or short RAG MURA on 11th September 2012. The main goal: Improving the living conditions of the residents of Pomurje and beyond.
The founding meeting of the Regional Action Group for Investment for Health and Development MURA was held on 11th September 2012, in the Ecological Building and Living Centre in Martjanci, by the initiative of the Centre for Health and Development Murska Sobota. It is supported by many organizations and individuals from Pomurje, working in the fields of health, tourism, agriculture, nature conservancy, development, education, employment and media.
Ms Mojca Makovec Haložan, ed (executive director) of the Centre for Health and Development Murska Sobota said: "We are incredibly pleased that we are being supported by so many organizations and individuals, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved, especially since it is an informal association open to everyone who would like to join. I expect a highly constructive mutual collaboration and am at the same time aware of the responsible task we all together had set ourselves, namely to follow the main objective, which is to improve the living conditions of all the residents of Pomurje and beyond."
Since then the members of RAS MURA have collaborated through the four established working groups and discussed specific tasks within their respective field to contribute to raising awareness, increasing understanding and empowering every resident of Pomurje. The president of RAG MURA is Stanislav Sraka, the manager of the Sinergija Development Agency.
